About Us

ClearKey was born with a firm belief that everyone should have access to Expert Financial Advice.

In recent years, working in financial services, we’ve seen too many scams and the entire claims industry popping up overnight because people are being mis-sold too many different products and services. We’ve seen banks disappearing all over the high street and with them, many peoples first port of call for financial advice.

More recently, the pandemic switched aged old face to face customs, for new age video calls and whilst we’re huge fans of technology and the importance it plays in financial services, we need to think of the impact it has on consumers not able to sit down with an adviser and really understand what they’re being told and ultimately buying.

The key to selling the right financial service to the right person is education. Making sure that consumers can themselves, make an informed choice about the financial products and services they buy.

It’s not good enough to simply say “you need life cover”. We should be educating customers on why they need cover, what it could mean for their families and their children’s futures. But also, that advice needs to be balanced with potential pit falls and shortcomings of any products they buy. It needs to be a measured and informed decision by the customer, who has the knowledge and facts to make that decision themselves. It cannot be a decision made because they see a fancy advert, a clever slogan or are sold something over the phone by a creative sales person.

In many cases, financial products effect peoples lives for years. They’re rarely short term solutions or quick fixes that can be bought on impulse.

We believe that everyone has the right to Expert Advice and it’s a necessity that people only buy financial services once they have that Advice.

As a result, we’re on a mission to introduce as many customers as possible to Experts in the UK. People who can offer knowledge and advice to customers about every possible financial decision they could and should be making.

To further help customers understand how products and services might relate to them, we invented a team of fictional characters that each reflect a different life stage we all go through.

Whether its first out of school, new to the financial world, needing help understanding terminology and how products work and fit together in our lives. Or into Adulthood and family life that brings questions of life insurance, health insurance and inevitably buying a home with a Mortgage.  Right through to retirement planning, encompassing pensions, Equity Release, Estate planning and more.

We created these characters to show that that everyone is different, everyone should have access to financial Advice and everyone should speak with an Expert before they make a decision on their finances.

ClearKey doesn’t offer advice. We put you in touch with Experts who can give you that Advice and help you buy with confidence

Because we play by the book we want to tell you that...

1. We understand equity release isn’t for everyone, and we’ll never say it’s the right option for you, that’s why we pass you onto an Expert.

2. A lifetime mortgage is a loan secured against your property. With a lifetime mortgage there are typically no monthly repayments to make as the loan, plus roll up interest, is repaid when the plan comes to an end. Usually, that’s when you, or the last remaining applicant, either passes away or moves into long-term care.

3. With a lifetime mortgage you’ll still retain full ownership of your home.

4. Equity release will reduce the value of your estate and may affect your entitlement to means tested benefits.

5. Mortgage Advice Bureau Later Life offer lifetime mortgage products from a carefully selected panel of providers.

6. Unless you decide to go ahead, Mortgage Advice Bureau Later Life’s service is completely free of charge as their fixed advice fee of £1,295 would only be payable in completion of a plan.

7. ClearKey is an independent marketing website which only acts as an introducer to companies who offer advice on various financial plans, products and services.

8. Our partners are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

9. ClearKey.co.uk are not authorised to give any advice and we are not liable for any financial advice provided by or obtained through a third party.

10. Life insurance products attract terms and conditions. Price information contained within this website are for illustration purposes only. You will receive a full policy document upon application which will set out the terms, conditions and limitations of cover provided under the plan.

11. Your home may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments. Think carefully about securing debt against your home. When consolidating existing borrowing be aware that extending the term could increase the amount repaid.
